The Treasurer's Office is responsible for the bookkeeping of all County Funds.  We apportion all of the revenue received each month.  Daily reports and receipts are maintained in the General Ledger.  Our office is the bank for all County Offices, as they deposit collections and register all vouchers daily.  The Treasurer's Office is responsible for bank deposits, investments, and monthly reports that are sent to the State Auditor.  We also collect taxes, disperse mobile home decals, and assigns a mortgage tax on all mortgages recorded in Texas County.  The Treasurer is in charge of maintaining a set amount of securities pledged at each bank in the County.  Our Deputies look up adjoining land owners within 300' of each property before signing a building permit.  All County warrants are registered in our office and are paid and cleared as they come through the bank. 

The Treasurer's Term expires June 30, 2011.
