The Board of County Commissioners exercise the administrative powers given to them by 

the Oklahoma Statutes and the Oklahoma Constitution.  County Commissioners are the 

governing body of the courthouse and exercise direct control over the county highway system.

They audit the accounts of all officers handling county money and make general financial

plans for the county including the county budget.  The Commissioners approves all the

accounts payable and county payroll.   They approve bids for major purchases or construction

projects.  They hold the elections for the Fair Board and appoints various members to our

various boards.  The Commissioners are responsible for improving the efficiency of county

government.
